The Happily Ever After Society has officially gone to print!
We’re in the final stages: choosing cover finishes, endpapers, and paper coatings—and we expect to have all books and merchandise ready to ship in early November 2025.
This dream started back in 2022, when Chandra had an idea for a book but wished someone else would make it so she could simply enjoy it on her shelf.
By December 2023, the idea hadn’t let her go, and she decided over margaritas with friends that she would go for it herself (with the tiny caveat that maybe it could just live as a portfolio project).
In January 2024, she started reaching out to authors. By June, she photographed the very first author, Courtney Milan—an experience so magical that she instantly knew this had to become a real book. From August 2024 through January 2025, she photographed a lineup of extraordinary authors, including Sarah MacLean, Adriana Herrera, Ali Hazelwood, Julie Soto, Christina Lauren, Christopher Rice, Julia Quinn, Jeannie Lin, and Elissa Sussman.
In February 2025, The Happily Ever After Society launched on Kickstarter, and in March it successfully funded. From there, the work kicked into high gear: 41 total authors, 5 narrative sessions, countless cities, and months of photo edits, copy edits, and design magic. With Chandra behind the lens, Katie shaping the design, Nicole polishing the words and Natalie keeping everything on track, the book came to life.
Now, as of August 2025, it’s officially at the printer. What’s next? November 2025: the books arrive.
(And maybe, just maybe, December 2025 will mark the first steps toward Volume 2…)
